How You Can Succeed in Business and in Life
Dr. Kan will interview Ron McElroy, an entrepreneur and author of a new inspirational book:Wrong Side of the Tracks: A Memoir. A native Hawaiian who grew up in southern California, Ron McElroy knows what it is like to come from the wrong side of the tracks. His family battled mental illness, abuse, drugs, and alcohol. But despite the overwhelming odds, he went on to enjoy a career on the amateur surfing circuit and ultimately built several successful companies. McElroy’s business, Real Office Centers (ROC), is now based in the Los Angeles, California area, and soon will be establishing offices in Hawaii. ROC will feature Start-up Camp, a business incubator program where entrepreneurs will receive mentoring in preparation for pursuing financing. Though the ROC program will launch early 2013, McElroy is making frequent trips to Hawaii to discuss plans with the natives and inspire them with his new book: Wrong Side of the Tracks: A Memoir, which chronicles the difficult experiences from his childhood.
